On this episode of The Black Gold Historical Society, Brer Sunshine joined by Bowls (Funky Good Time / The Boom Bap) to talk with y’all about jazz and it’s, possibly, most unappreciated decade... the 1980s. For many purists, it doesn’t even count. However, Bowls is going to hit us with the hidden gems from major label, indy label, and private press releases that defy the general perception. We’ll talk about why it’s overlooked and how some of our favorite hip-hop producers gravitated to this music.
