Tucker & Bloom is a family business with over 30 years in the bag industry, focusing on organizational products, and clean design. Since the beginning, Tucker & Bloom has manufactured bags that emphasize organization, and individuality through functional design. Our exclusive distribution through this site underscores our belief in the importance of domestic manufacturing, with the fundamental skills that it fosters.

Tucker and Bloom designs aim to organize people with a need to look professional while providing an alternative to the norm. Our products are produced from materials that meet with our high expectations for quality, durability and aesthetics. Tucker & Bloom is a domestically made product. All bags are made in small batches, using traditional European craftsman techniques.


Tucker & Bloom is the combination of a rich history of design and outdoorsmanship. Long involved with some of this country’s greatest designs William Feinbloom, one of the founders of Champion Sportswear and grandfather to David Bloom, designed the first hooded sweatshirt in the 1930s and developed the process of felt flocking. Serving a distinct purpose in the athletic world and adopted by US factory workers, the hooded sweatshirt was birthed from need before becoming a ubiquitous fashion accessory. This idea of functional design is the foundation and cornerstone of what we believe. Hailing from the rugged coastline of New England Alonzo Case, whose family worked as whalers in Nantucket, moved to NYC, where he would eventually start Case Lace, a lace manufacturing company. He married Ada Tucker, the daughter of Brooklyn's harbormaster, and started a family. The resulting family tree is filled with sailors, world travelers, and artisans, all of whom depended on their equipment in perilous conditions. From this relationship of design and dependence grew Tucker & Bloom’s commitment to quality workmanship and reliable, functional products. It’s from this marriage of function and design that Tucker & Bloom creates its world-renown leather goods, luggage, and messenger bags.


The father and son team of David and Case Bloom established Tucker & Bloom after the collapse of the travel wear industry following September 11. David, a 30-year bag veteran, was the director of Coach travel products in New York prior to the attack and after was forced to take piecemeal design gigs to feed the family. Case, then a high school art student, watched his father’s craft being wasted, and together the concept for Tucker & Bloom was formed. Tucker & Bloom first released its flagship North to South Messenger Bag, which has garnered worldwide acclaim as a functional messenger bag and DJ record bag. Over the years Tucker & Bloom has established itself as a leader of innovative designs for the seasoned traveler while remaining rooted in American manufacturing. Its bags and leather goods are refined and constructed at its factory in Nashville utilizing locally and nationally sourced, ethically responsible materials, and it has collaborated with DJ Rich Medina, Jack White’s Third Man Records, and many others. Tucker & Bloom’s classic pieces, created by the Bloom family, are built to withstand a lifetime’s worth of use.

We only accept online orders; we cannot accept phone, fax or e-mail orders. At Tucker-Bloom our highest priority is ensuring that both your personal and payment transaction information is completely secure and that your privacy is respected. Whenever you provide any order information, we use SSL technology to make sure that it is encrypted, or scrambled, so that no one else can read it while it is being transmitted over the Internet. To modify your e-mail subscriptions, please let us know by modifying your preferences in the "My Account" section. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production. To delete all of your online account information from our database, sign into the "My Account" section of our site and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses & payment information. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping. Third party links In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. Warranty / Returns & Exchanges

Tucker-Bloom Warranty

Tucker-Bloom products are made to ensure satisfaction and service during the natural life of the product. It warrants to the original purchaser that its products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of a lifetime from the date of the purchase. Under no circumstances will  the warranty be assumable if the product is sold. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from product misuse, product neglect, product abuse, product tampering, product alterations and unauthorized product repairs. Furthermore, this warranty does not cover any consequential damage to a person or property other than the product purchased.

This guarantee will begin from the date the product is received and will only run for the same model originally purchased. To apply for this benefit you should contact Tucker-Bloom Customer Care Department. Just send an e-mail to customercare@Tucker-Bloom.com to become acquainted with the specific details. The Tucker & Bloom product purchase must be legitimated by an order number and an invoice.

Returns and Exchanges

We want you to love your bag and we put a lot of work into giving you the best quality product we can. If you are unsatisfied with your bag please let us know.

If a customer requests custom work and we have not received any request from the customer within 24 hours after entering the order, we process it and then we begin the handicraft process. Once the product enters the first handicraft step, it belongs exclusively to the customer who ordered it and no-one-else, (i.e. the customer is the actual owner of the bag even though it has not been shipped yet).

Standard returns within 14 days of purchase for a refund or exchange. Contact our customer care department for a return. We cannot accept any return or exchange for custom work once the production process has begun because of the number of preparatory steps already completed in the making of the custom products. This is why we suggest our customers to carefully check our site initially for detailed product description,  as well as checking the order confirmation e-mail for any discrepancy that could lead to problems. Because all our products are made by hand, manufacturing time can take between 10 to 15 days before they are ready to be shipped. If you are in a rush please let us know.

The leather we use is a byproduct of the food industry and provides a range of design elements from highly finished to more organic. We have chosen to offer this leather as it is in keeping with our design philosophy to offer materials that are timeless, high quality and very durable.

Ballistic Nylon

We use a high quality 1980 Denier ballistic textured basket weave nylon, that is high durability, and backed with a waterproof coating. 

Cotton Canvas

Cotton Canvas; 100% cotton is a wonderful material, soft, ages gracefully, and comes in a wide variety of colors.

Taslan Nylon

We utilize a durable and bright Taslan Nylon to line our bags to offer  the feel of cotton with the benefits of advanced fiber technology


Product Care


Canvas or Ballistic Nylon Exterior:

Wipe the exterior of the bag with a damp cloth or sponge, when necessary use “Simple Green” (available at most big box home improvement stores) and with a small amount of the product and a rag rub hand wash the areas that need to be cleaned taking care not to wet the leather trim. Once you have washed the bag sponge off the remaining Simple Green and hang the bag.


Taslan Nylon Interior:

Flip the lining out of the bag and shake it out. Take a sponge or damp cloth and wipe down the fabric. If needed use Simple Green to clean and a sponge to more thoroughly clean the lining. Towel off any excess moisture and allow the lining to dry outside of the bag.


Leather Trim:

The leather trim on your bag is 100% vegetable tanned leather and can be cleaned with water or “Simple Green” if it is uniformly applied. Make sure while doing this you uniformly apply clean the leather or the final result will appear blotchy. DO NOT use a dryer to dry your bag, hang dry the bag to dry or alloy it to dry in the sun instead.


Hair On Calf:

If you have a bag with hair on calf that needs to be cleaned use simple green and a rag to wipe down the hide along the natural direction of the hair. Towel off any excess moisture and allow the bag to hang dry vertically.


Shearling Shoulder Pad:

Throughout the life of your bag the shearling backed leather shoulder pad is going to break in. Part of this process includes some shedding which is natural. If the shearling becomes soiled use simple green and a rag to scrub it clean


Care for Felt and Wool:

If you have a bag with felt or wool that needs to be cleaned use simple green and a sponge to wipe down the surface. Towel off any excess moisture and allow the bag to hang dry vertically.
